In this thesis, the security concerning the near-field communication and its applications will be investigated. A thorough risk assessment is performed on the threats, attacks and the fraud scenarios related to NFC. It goes on to argue against the statement as per the standard that NFC is safe by its design, because it works in close proximity only.
