Introduction
Change is a process that impacts all organizations. As observed by management expert, Kurt Lewin, “group life is never without change, merely differences in the amount and type of change exist” (Burnes, 2004, p. 981). Most change initiatives, however, fails because of the tendency of people to resist change. People, according to management experts, fear change and so they tend to revert back to old ideas and practices even if the change is for the better.
