Myanmar is a third world country beset with a major social and health issue in the form of HIV/AIDS. The epidemic in Myanmar is largely concentrated in key cities such as the Kachin State in the North, Shan and Kayin State in the East, and Mon State and Tanintharyi Region in the South.
