Purpose
The purpose of this research is to know the properties of oxygen and to prepare different oxides, acids and bases. Experiments Carbon is reacted with oxygen in order to form carbon dioxide. Sulphur is reacted with oxygen in order to form sulphur dioxide and calcium is reacted with oxygen in order to form calcium oxide. As calcium is metal, the formed metal i.e. the calcium oxide is a metallic oxide.
