In the 21st Century, there has been the continuous increase in the disastrous occurrences. Any of these has been natural disasters while others are man-made disasters. A disaster is a disruption of the normal functioning of a given locality causing widespread and enormous human, material, economic or environmental losses exceeding the affected community's ability to cope with the losses.
