Introduction
Auguste Rodin, born Francois-Auguste-Rene Rodin on 12th November, 1840, was a French sculptor. Although he did not consciously set out to break away from the traditional conventions, he is considered the ‘forefather’ of modern sculpture. (Lampert, 17) The purpose of this paper, and due to the size, is to briefly look into the life experiences of Auguste Rodin that influenced his works and also, study the elements of his style as seen in any of his works.
