Introduction
"In order to become established as a respected independent academic discipline, public relations should focus on applied scientific research that is useful to practice." This paper upholds this view and will further expound on the premises which warrant attention to strengthening the scientific applications of both qualitative and quantitative research in Public Relations (PR) to make it a more rigid and independent academic discipline.
