An EMS controls the vehicle engine in response to both vehicle and engine inputs. It consists of an electronic control unit composed of a micro-processor with several electromechanical and electronic actuators and sensors. Sensor devices are used to monitor the vehicle engine and detect engine speed, lambda values, crank angle and other engine parameters.
