A lot of global attention has recently been directed towards the ongoing conflict in South Sudan. Less than five years after seceding from the Sudan, the newly formed country has been embroiled in a tribal conflict that has quickly escalated into a civil war. At the very heart of the conflict is a fight over resources between the two major tribes, Nuer and Dinka, which make up the dominant tribes in the country.
