Data compression algorithm for wireless sensor networks
Abstract There is an increased use of wireless networks in organizations. There also the use of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) that is used for monitoring the environment. The two basic activities that are involved in WSN include data acquisition and data transmission. The problem with the process of transmitting and acquiring tasks is that there is high power consumption. This needs the use of data compression so that there is reduced consumption of power.
