Abstract
The paper deals with the problem of the legalization of prostitution. It presents two major arguments in favor of and against making the trade a legal occupation. The proponents of legalization argue that legality is directly responsible for the reduction of violence, human trafficking, and the use of children in the sex market. The adversaries of legalization are of the opinion that legality contributes to the higher rates of violence, women trafficking, and child sexual exploitation.
