Article Review: The Causes of Cerebral Desaturation in The study by Brinkman, Amadeo, Funk, and Grocott (2013) investigated cerebral desaturation, which frequently occurs in one-lung ventilation procedures for thoracic surgery and is possibly caused by lower cardiac output.
