Background
There is a growing debate on whether the government should make it illegal to smoke in public places. Those proposing for its ban argue that smoking has harmful effects on both the smoker and non-smokers as well as to the environment. However, those opposing the ban maintain that smoking helps relax and making smoking in public places illegal would amount to infringement of personal rights.
