NSP (Neighborhood Stabilization Program) is an initiative established by the U.S Congress with the objective of stabilizing communities that have been subjected to property abandonment and foreclosures. This program was initiated under Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, and it was intended to repurchase and redevelop the abandoned and foreclosed properties and homes (Neighborhood, 2016).
