The Great War began in 1914 and ended in 1918.The war involved the major world powers which had assembled into two blocs –the Triple Entete and the central powers. Countries under the Triple Entete included France, Russia and the United Kingdom. Central powers were composed of Italy, Germany and Austria-Hungary.
