This study used Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait to complete research on the effects of the global economic crisis on the financial performance of conventional banks in Kuwait over the period from 2000-2015. The study results show that the global economic crisis does not have a statistically significant impact on the financial performance of conventional banks in Kuwait. This paper addresses these questions using the vector error correction model. For this study, an annual time series data for the period 1970 to 2012 for the United States has been used.
