Body armour has traditionally been designed with the principal purpose ofto provide providing protection for the wearer against sharp objects and ballistic threats. A ballistic ballistic-resistant fabric stops projectile penetration by reducing energy transfer to the body upon impact, i.e. the fabric flattens the bullet and diffuses its energy [1].
