Throughout their lifetime, about sixty percent of men and fifty percent of women in the United States experience some form of traumatic events. This predisposes them to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, a condition that results when the body remains alert to any other possible cause of trauma that may reoccur (Marion, 2010).
