1. Raisins and raisin bran
The raisins in raisin bran do not settle at the bottom of a box or other container for two reasons. First, they are of smaller sizes than the raisins. If the raisins are placed in a container followed by the bran, the bran would slip though the spaces and go to the bottom. However, if the bran are placed first in the container and the raisins last, the raisins cannot slip through the bran no matter how one shakes the container.
