Introduction
The English legal system is based on elements of the Christian Bible and its tradition. This comes with some moral concepts like lying about other persons and spreading false information. Defamation is made up of libel and slander. Whereas libel is a false and damaging comment written down, slander refers to such a statement spoken orally.
