Introduction
Secular states are based on the need to separate the state from religion. Secular states are neutral and do not support any religion. On the contrary, Islamic countries are based on the need to introduce Islamic law within political systems. Religious laws restrict democracy and respect for freedoms and rights as part of secular states restricted by religious laws.
