Kodak is an American multinational that was founded in 1888 and has its headquarters in Rochester, New York. During most of Kodak’s history its core products were cameras and photographic film, where Kodak had a near-monopoly. The company has expanded into other businesses, such as printers and digital image management solutions (Eastman Kodak Company, 2012). However, the past years have been hard for Kodak. Since 2008 the company was not able to exit from recession, which was hampering Kodak’s liquidity.
