MATERIALS ON THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY
Abstract Sustainability refers to a theory, or way of life, that does not harm the environment. Often sustainable textiles are designed by observing the natural environment. The textile industry has become seriously involved in sustainable production practices because of climate change. For example, one t-shirt produces up to 50 times the amount of carbon dioxide emissions (10 kg CO2) than the t-shirt weighs when finished (200 kg).
