The Miniskirt
The origin of the miniskirt lies in the heart of the so called Swinging London of the 1960s. Mary Quant, a dressmaker who sold her own fashionable, and desired, designs from a store in the London district of Chelsea can be regarded as the creator of the (twentieth- century) miniskirt.
