Abstract
The United States is currently embroiled in a debate on how healthcare should be structured. The Republicans have sworn to repeal the Affordable Care Act. On the other hand, more than 33 million people are not able to afford basic healthcare services, do not have medical covers, and most of them do not have proper employment (Atun, De Andrade, Almeida, Cotlear, Dmytraczenko, Frenz, & De Paula, 2015). Additionally, most middle-income earners cannot afford proper health insurance or afford to pay health care costs off their pockets.
