European Union: Peril or Panacea?
The European Union (EU) is a collective of twenty-seven countries who came together at the end of the Second World War in the pursuit of peace and cooperation. Since joining together, the European Union has helped to bring about just over half a century of “peace, stability and prosperity.” (Europa, 2011).
