The revolutionary movement after the great migration brought a remarkable cultural uplift in the American culture. Literary writing, compositions and music became a source of cultural rehabilitation instead of music alone. It allowed the expression pride for the African Americans’ independence and increased black militancy (Harlem Renaissance n.d.).
