Schizophrenia is a mental condition that affects about 1% of the world’s population. It's often associated with attempted suicides with 50% of those affected by the condition attempting suicide at some point of which 9-13% are fatal . The symptoms of schizophrenia are grouped into three: positive symptoms, negative symptoms and cognitive deficits.
