Abstract
A body is said to be moving in a uniform circular motion if it is moving in a circle with a constant speed. The main objective of this experiment was to find the net force that acts on an object of mass m which moves in a circle of radius r at constant speed v and to confirm that the magnitude of that force is given by mv2/r.An experiment was done using centripetal force apparatus by hanging masses on it and computing the force required to stretch the string, the masses were then subjected to a rotational frequency and the average frequency determined.
