Tesla was founded in 2003 by engineers who wanted to capitalize on the growing market for electric vehicles (Tesla, 2016). Tesla was named after Nikolai Tesla, and the corporation uses several of his patents in the construction of its vehicles. Our major production was the Tesla Roadster, created in 2008.
