Tesla was founded in 2003 by engineers who wanted to capitalize on the growing market for electric vehicles (Tesla, 2016). Tesla was named after Nikolai Tesla, and the corporation uses several of his patents in the construction of its vehicles. Our major production was the Tesla Roadster, created in 2008. The Roadster could go from zero to sixty MPH in 3.7 seconds, making it one of the quickest vehicles on the market, let alone one of the fastest electric vehicles.
