Introduction
Activism by university students has always been discouraged by administrators with many of these activists finding themselves on the wrong side of the law. The 1960’s were characterized by racial discrimination and the oppression of the rights of students from free expression. These protests were considered acts of massive civil disobedience and most students who were found participating in such activities ended up in jail.
