Delinquency is major problems in American society. Delinquency, however, is not new problems. It has plagued societies throughout history. Delinquency is among the most resistant forms of problem behavior well known. Despite best efforts by the U.S governments, society has failed to make a substantial reduction in this problem of delinquency. The understanding of delinquency and the way to prevent and treat has improved and continues to develop under the control of the Office of Delinquency prevention and Juvenile Justice.
