Quite often, people who smoke tobacco are perceived to be at a higher risk of lung cancer and other conditions associated with the smoking of tobacco than the people who though do not smoke, live with smokers. However, this perception is not necessarily accurate. Individuals who are exposed to the smoke from a burning tobacco have equal or higher chances of developing conditions associated with tobacco-smoking than their counterparts who are active tobacco smokers.
