Introduction Domestic violence or domestic abuse is a situation whereby an intimate partner exerts control or dominance to his or her partner through physical, sexual or psychological harm which eventually results in physical or emotional pain to the victim. Some other forms of domestic violence include violence during dating and stalking. Domestic abuse exists within all ethnicities, income levels, education levels, sexual orientations and age groups.
