Historically, civil engineering is one of the oldest practices in engineering, and still remains the broadest professional field combined with scientific principles. Many early structures, facilities, and transportation aspects were the result of the greatest engineering minds, then branching out into materials science, soil mechanics, waterworks, environment, mechanics and other subgenre fields.
